HEART EVANGELISTA – The Kapuso actress indeed has the heart to give and recently, she made a donation to the Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI).
When Senator Chiz Escudero became the senate president, his wife Heart Evangelista also became the head of the Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI). She was, at first, having second thoughts about this but later on, she was able to appreciate what the organization is all about.
She found a new purpose and she now has a lot of plans for this as the head. The Kapuso actress found this work to be really fulfilling in a way that she’s become God’s instrument to help others.
As someone who really has the heart to give, the actress and fashion icon recently turned over Php 1.5 million to the foundation as her donation. It came from the proceeds of her sold hand-painted, vintage luxury bag which was taken from her personal collection.
A ceremony was held for this and SSFI vice president Special Envoy to the United Arab Emirates for Trade and Investment Kathryna Yu-Pimentel and Ms. Nancy Dela Rosa were the who received this. For Heart, she found it essential to make personal contribution to the cause of the foundation.
She learned that the “mantle of leadership begins by having skin in the game and one must always have something to give”.
The amount will be used to the future projects of the SSFI. According to the wife of Senator Koko Pimentel, this amount will definitely go a long way and will help a lot of people who are considered to be underprivileged.
Last June, the actress took an oath as the new head of the SSFI.
