PNP Denies Sara Duterte’s “Casing” of Residence Claim in Open Letter for Police Chief

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Claims PNP Went To Her Place of Residence for “Casing”

PNP – The Philippine National Police denied the claim of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte that cops went to the place where she’s residing for “casing”.

Currently, there is an issue between Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Philippine National Police chief Rommel Francisco Marbil. It was after the recall of the 75 cops assigned for the security of the Vice President.

Upon the relief of the 75 cops assigned for her security, Vice Pres. Duterte assured the public that it will not affect her work. She has resigned as the secretary of the Department of Education and she also left her post as the vice chairperson of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).

According to the PNP, they have coordinated with the Office of the Vice President and the recall of the security detail of the Vice President is due to the insufficient number of cops in the National Capital Region (NCR).

However, unexpectedly, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte released an open letter for PNP chief Rommel Marbil a few days after. She debunked the statements of the PNP chief which she claimed to be lies.

According to the Vice Presidnet, the Philippine National Police did not request the Office of the Vice President for the recall of her security detail. She stressed that they were only told and they did not bother to argue about it.

She also stressed that most of the cops relieved and assigned to NCR were her trusted men for years now. They were assigned to her security for several years already or for her father’s security. The Vice President also emphasized that Mindanao also lacks a sufficient number of police authorities.

In her open letter, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also downplayed Philippine National Police chief Rommel Marbil’s claim that they don’t see any threat on her life. She stressed the malicious spreading of her video at the airport when she recently flew on a personal trip abroad. She also claimed that PNP authorities came to her place of residence for “casing”.

According to Vice Pres. Duterte, the PNP who came to her place of residence really wanted to know where she specifically resides. She claimed that the officials of the homeowners association stopped the cops.

Recently, the Philippine National Police reacted to the claim of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. The PNP denied that they came to the place of residence of the Vice President for “casing”. It also expressed its willingness, in any way, to shed light to the claim of the VP.

According to PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo, their chief also wants to focus on his work. She stressed that he’s busy extending help to the PNP personnel affected by Typhoon Carina.
