Alexa Uichico-Gutierrez, Wife of Elvis Gutierrez, Dies at 38
ELVIS GUTIERREZ – The actor who is currently mourning the death of his wife, Alexa, took to social media a touching photo of them together.
It is no secret to the public that the Gutierrez family recently went through a series of rough patches which include the battle of Alexa Gutierrez against leukemia. It was after their Japan trip in January 2024 when she noticed some health signs that prompted her to go for a check-up.
Alexandra Joelle Uichico-Gutierrez or more publicly known as Alexa Gutierrez, the wife of actor Elvis Gutierrez, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It is a condition wherein the white blood cells has mass production over the red blood cells.
The Gutierrez family went to Japan for the recent Christmas and New Year celebration. Alexa, Elvis, and their daughters were present at the abroad trip of the popular clan in showbiz.
Elvis Gutierrez and Alexa Uichico-Gutierrez were schoolmates. They were a long-time couple already when they decided to officially tie the knot in 2015. They have two (2) daughters — Aria and Ezra.
Sadly, Aria who is only 9 years old now and Ezra, 7, lost their mom at a young age. Ruffa Gutierrez recently confirmed the death of her sister-in-law, Alexa.
On her Instagram account, Ruffa posted the statement announcing Alexa’s death stating that they “will forever hold dear her presence as a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and most importantly, a wife and mother”.
Ruffa who has been constantly seeking for prayers for the wife of her brother, Elvis Gutierrez, during her battle against leukemia still cannot process the death of her beloved sister. In a post, the actress-beauty queen said that words cannoy express how heartbroken and shocked she is. She stressed her love for Alexa and that she will forever be in her thoughts and heart.

Several netizens including Filipino celebrities commented on the post of Elvis Gutierrez. Among those who expressed their sympathies over the passing of Alexa are Anthony Pangilinan and his family, Maxene Magalona, Paolo Paraiso, and Bubbles Paraiso.
Elvis’ brothers Monching and Rocky and sister Ruffa also expressed their love for their brother while his neice, Lorin Gabriella, said that their love is “the most beautiful love” she has ever seen and she loves them both so much.
