Here’s an official statement regarding the rumors about Ivana Alawi and her departure from the series.
IVANA ALAWI – The Kapamilya actress-vlogger is leaving FPJ’s Batang Quiapo and here’s an official statement about this from Star Magic.
There’s no truth to the rumors about Kapamilya actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi being removed from the ABS-CBN series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” because of her attitude. Coco Martin’s Batang Quiapo series is one of the most-viewed currently and her character as Bubbles, the love interest of Tanggol, is well-loved by the viewers.
However, she is still leaving the show. Her manager clarified previously that the rumors about Ivana removed from BQ because of her attitude is not true as the real reason has something to do with the agreement with the management and her commitments.
According to her manager Perry Lansigan, she is to leave because of her jampacked schedules and the projects she already committed herself to before nodding to join the ABS-CBN series.
She initially agreed to stay for three months but her tandem ad chemistry with Tangol received good reviews, hence, the extension of her character. But unfortunately, her schedule became too hectic and accommodate both the series and her other commitments.
Amid the buzz going around, Star Magic released an official statement to clear the air. In the statement, the ABS-CBN talent arm stressed that there’s no truth to the alleged reason why Alawi is leaving the series.
It also added the same claim as what Lansigan did regarding the public’s warm response to the tandem of Tanggol and Bubbles. This lead to the extension of her stay in the series. Star Magic thanked Ivana for her love and dedication in the series and to Coco for creating this opportunity.
