Police Source Gives Update on Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, 5 Others Case
APOLLO QUIBOLOY – A source from the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group confirmed the arrest of one of the co-accused of the Pastor in Davao City.
Currently, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) Church is under search. He is facing several charges including the alleged violation of the Philippine law that provides special protection to children.
Quiboloy was summoned to attend the Senate hearing but the Pastor who claims that he is the “appointed son of God” did not attend the hearing set by the upper chamber. An arrest order was released against Pastor Quiboloy.
The police authorities raided several properties of Pastor Quiboloy including her properties in Davao City and Samal Island. However, to no avail, they were not able to serve the arrest order.
Reward money is up for info that could lead to the arrest of Pastor Quiboloy and five others. According to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Php 10 million reward money is up for infos that can lead to the arrest of the Pastor and Php 1 million for each of the co-accused.
The co-accused of Quiboloy includes Paulene Canada, Jackielyn Roy, Cresente Canada, Ingrid Canada, and Sylvia Cemanes. The Pastor reportedly went into hiding after the arrest order was released for skipping the Senate hearing.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a co-accused of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy was arrested in Davao City as per a source from the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group. Paulene Canada was arrested.
Based on the article, the police authorities are expected to provide more details about the arrest of Canada this morning. Aside from the charges against him in the Philippines, there are also complaints against the Pastor in the United States. “Wanted” posters were even released.
