The mother of Yen Santos had this surprising revelation
Is it true that actress Yen Santos and her A Faraway Land leading man Paolo Contis never became a couple?
Rumors linking Yen and Paolo started to circulate when they were spotted together in Baguio. Initially, the actor said that they went there as a friend. This became controversial because, at that time, Paolo’s breakup with LJ Reyes was still fresh.
With that, Yen was accused of being the third party. Eventually, Paolo started talking about Yen in interviews. The actor was asked if he sees Yen as his partner for life and he answered “Oo naman! Bakit hindi, di ba?“
When breakup rumors surfaced, Paolo Contis even stressed that he and Yen Santos are still together. “Yes, kami pa ni Yen,” he said when asked about their relationship status amid the rumors linking him to Arra San Agustin.
However, this was contradicted by Yen’s mother. OOTD hosts Direk Chaps Manansala and Jobert Sucaldito recently talked about this on their YouTube channel, based on the article in Bandera.
Jobert shared that he talked to Lilian, Yen’s mother, about the rumors that the actress and Paolo have already broken up.
“Sabi ko, ‘mommy may tanong lang ako?’ ‘Ano ‘yun ‘nay?’ Nanay din kasi ang tawag sa akin no’n, eh. Sina Yen ba at si Paolo hiwalay na? ‘Yun ang tanong ko sa kanya,” Jobert shared.
The answer that the showbiz insider got surprised him. “Sabi sa akin, ‘nanay naman pati ba naman ikaw naniwala?’ (Sabi ko), ‘bakit ‘ny?’ (Sagot ng mommy ni Yen), ‘never namang naging sila?’” he shared.
With what he heard from Lilian, Jobert thought that maybe as a mother, she was just saying that because she was not in favor of the relationship as it was even rumored that they were living together.
However, Yen’s mother said that the actress is living with her aunt in Manila because Lilian managing their business in Cabanatuan.
As Jobert was still in disbelief, he once again asked the actress’s mom, “So, ibig sabihin hindi sina Paolo at si Yen? So, hindi totoong magdyowa?’” Lilian stressed that the two celebrities are not a couple and she does not know where the rumors started.
When Jobert said that maybe Lilian just does not know about the relations, Yen’s mom said, “I should know kasi nanay ako!”
