Phenomenal teen star Justin Bieber and Rapper Eminem won multiple awards in the recently held Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. Both take home six prizes considering them as the biggest winner of the night.
Justin Bieber attended the awarding ceremony and thanked all the people who helped him to get out of his town and be well known all over the world. He was awarded as fan favorite and top new artist award.
While on the other hand, Eminem wasn’t able to show up in the Billboard Music Award but won the top prize of the night as the artist of the year. He was also proclaimed as the top artist and top male artist that night.
Also in the list of winners in the Billboard Music Award are Katy Perry, U2 as the top touring award for their 360 Degrees Tour, Beyonce Knowles who were given the Millennium Award for her musical influence and recognised as a role model for women and Britain’s Taio Cruz who won the best single for his song Dynamite.
In Justin Bieber speech he said “I’m 17,” the Canadian told the audience. “Every day is crazy to me because I see so many people and I get to make so many people smile.”
The Billboard Music Award ceremony was held last Sunday May 22 and was broadcast live on US TV. The said event was star-studded and the opening performance was given by Britney Spears and Rihanna were they sung a remix of the latter’s hit S&M.
Cee Lo Green also performed that night and country star Keith Urban and Neil Diamond, who sang his 1969 hit Sweet Caroline after winning the icon award.
In the speech given by U2’s member Bono to the audience, he said “You can make cl(–foul word(s) removed–)ic albums in your bedroom and you can play the greatest show of your life on a one-string guitar, but we just don’t do that”.
Winners in the Billboard Music Award were chosen base on their popularity on chart performances and internet social and streaming activity.
