Xian Lim Speaks on Relationship & Controversial Breakup with Kim Chiu
XIAN LIM – The actor spoke about his relationship and breakup with Kim Chiu which is surrounded by rumors and issues.
One of the celebrity separations that surprised a lot of people in 2023 and left countless hearts broken was the breakup of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. The two (2) celebrities were together for 12 years.
Collectively called KimXi, Xian and Kim were both real life lovers and on-screen partners. They did several projects together including the television series My Binondo Girl and The Story of Us.
However, in December 2023, a few days before Christmas, Kim and Xian announced that they have parted ways. Neither of the couple spoke about the reason behind their breakup but there were allegations of third party on the part of the actor.
A few months after their breakup, amid the allegations linking him to a film producer, Xian Lim admitted dating Iris Lee. They are currently in abroad doing stuff for movie-making which they both visibly love.
Undeniably, not only Xian but as well as Iris earned negative criticisms from the netizens. There were also rumors that Xian asked Kim to cook for steak for him before he broke-up with her.
Recently, amid the countless issues and rumors that surround his breakup with Kim Chiu, Xian Lim spoke and said that what they had was not a toxic relationship. Based on an article on PUSH, the actor also claimed that he and his ex-girlfriend are in good terms.
“It was a wonderful 12 years, it wasn’t a toxic relationship… So when it happened, we assured each other that we would be (OK). We are on good terms. And we’re gonna be happy for each other,” the actor said.
Xian Lim acknowledged that it is painful for the people who supported him and Kim Chiu for 12 years but stressed that they did not want the breakup to happen, too. Based on the article, he stressed that they reached 12 years because they worked on the relationship.
“Pinagtanggol namin ang isa’t isa, we were there for each other, wala pong pagkukulang,” Xian said.
Xian expressed that there are no ill feelings between him and Kim. According to the actor, he is just focusing on his craft now as he does not want the people to remember him for the breakup but for the projects he did and “for living truthfully”.
