Intensifying his prime goal to eradicate illegal drugs, President Duterte asks for the support of the LGU.
Intensifying his administration’s primary goal which is to fully clean the country from illegal drugs, President Rodrigo ‘Rody’ Duterte expressed his strong desire to the local government units.
Recently reported in Inquirer, President Duterte spoke about the illegal drugs and the problems it causes the country in front of the officers of the League of Cities of the Philippines and the League of Provinces of the Philippines.
The President expressed his desires to fully destroy the illegal drug apparatus in the country in order to spare the future from its presence.
He even emphasized the idea that it will continue to induce the country with problems under the next three presidents of the Philippines if he won’t dismantle it by now.
The 71-year-old President also took time to slightly mention the value of money in the present times. According to him, “Money is too corrosive. So they can buy, you know, judges, fiscals, the police, mayors, governors”.
Just before the oath-taking, the President came from a council meeting with Vice President Leny Robredo, former Presidents Fidel Ramos, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Benigno Aquino III, Joseph Estrada, leaders of congress, and cabinet members.
