Claudine Barretto denied that she intended not to be at these events
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto was absent at these events and she was accused of doing this intentionally.
Claudine has returned to being active in showbiz. She returned to doing movies, shows, and TV guestings. However, at these recent events, there were questions about why Claudine was absent.
Based on the article by Abante entertainment writer Jun Lalin, the award-winning actress was surprised when she was asked about the issue that she was “nambitin” as she was not at the events.
It was said that Claudine Barretto was not present during the CCP Cine Icons film showing and talkback of her Anak movie with Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos. Lalin shared that their co-star Baron Geisler was not there as well, even though he was invited.
Only Ate Vi and the movie’s writer Ricky Lee were there. The entertainment also mentioned that Claudine was not able to attend the special screening of the movie When Magic Hurts. This movie featured Beaver Magtalas, Mutya Orquia, and Maxine Trinidad.
With this, Lalin shared that he texted Claudine to ask her about the issue. She explained was not informed about the event at the CCP but she attended the St. Paul’s film showing / talkback of Anak with Ate Vi because she was informed about this and committed to come.
“Friend, hindi ako nambitin. Hindi ko talaga alam na kasali ako sa film showing, talk back sa UST. May mga fan lang na nagsabi sa akin, pero kahit management team ko, eh, wala namang sinabi sa akin,” the actress explained.
When it comes to the special screening of the movie When Magic Hurts, Claudine intended not to come because she wanted to be the main cast to be highlighted.
“Gusto ko talaga na ma-focus sa mga bagets ‘yung atensiyon ng lahat sa special screening na iyon. Gusto ko sila ang mag-shine kaya hindi na ako nagpunta. Gusto ko talaga na wala ako roon,” the actress said.
On the other hand, Claudine Barretto stressed that she will be attending the parade and premiere night in Cabanatuan.
