The absence of Jodi Sta Maria at the tribute party for Mr. M created intrigue
Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria was noticeably absent during the tribute party organized for former Star Magic head Johnny Manahan, also known as Mr. M.
It was alleged that Jodi’s absence was due to Optimum Star Claudine Barretto. Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz previously shared that the organizer prioritized the presence of Claudine, one of the pioneer Star Magic babies.
It was alleged that the organizer thought that a conflict might happen if both Claudine and Jodi attended the party. Claudine’s estranged husband actor Raymart Santiago is currently in a relationship with Jodi.
The Optimum Star reacted to this issue in an interview. She said that she did not know about this and she had nothing to do with the absence of Jodi. Claudine stressed that the event was about the person who she and Jodi both love and that should be the focus.
In a follow-up discussion on this issue, Ogie shared on his recent Showbiz Update vlog the alleged reason why Jodi did not attend that special event for Mr. M. Ogie said that there were people who asked if it was true that the invitation for Jodi was canceled. He stressed that this was not true, based on the article in Pang-Masa.
It was said that the actress got sick. She was supposed to meet the veteran star maker but this did not happen because of her health.
“Dapat ay kasama siya sa previous dinner with sina Bea (Alonzo), John Lloyd (Cruz), ‘yun nga kay Mr. M, kaya lang nagka-COVID siya that night we were together. She had a prior commitment that same night when the organizers invited her,” the talent manager-vlogger shared what his source revealed. The source added that Mr. M would have wanted to see Jodi.
