Guide on the DOST Graduate Scholarship Requirements for Application
DOST GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS – Here are the documents required in applying for masteral and doctoral graduate scholarships in Science and Technology.
Are you interested to apply for the graduate scholarship offer of the DOST or the Department of Science and Technology? There are excellent offers provided by the government office.
If you want to pursue a Master’s or Doctoral degree program in Science and Technology fields, you may apply to Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP).
Through the ASTHRDP, the DOST aims to boost the global competitiveness of the Philippines and its capability to innovate through Science and Technology. It also wants to boost the production of high-level human resources needed for Research & Development.
To apply for the scholarship offer, there are DOST graduate scholarship requirements that you must prepare and submit. Here are the documents required by the government office:
- duly-accomplished ASTHRDP-NSC Information Sheet/ Application Form
- photocopy of Birth Certificate
- Certified True Copy of the Official Transcript of Records
- Endorsement from:
- 2 former college professors if you want to take a Master’s program
- 2 former professors in the Master’s Program if you want to take a Doctoral program
- If you are employed, also one of the DOST graduate scholarship requirements is a recommendation and permission from the head of the office to take a leave of absence while you are under a scholarship or a proof of resignation or termination of contract.

- Research Plans
- Medical Certificate proving that the applicant is in a good health condition and fit to study. It must be written by a licensed physician with his/her PRC license number indicated.
- valid NBI Clearance
- “Letter of Admission with Regular status from the Program Head of the accepting institution and copy of the Admission Evaluation Sheet
- Approved Program of Study
For Lateral applicants, also part of the DOST graduate scholarship requirements is a Certification from the university indicating the number of graduate units required in the program and the number of graduate units earned with corresponding grades.
The application for the DOST scholarship can be done at any of the institutions set by the government office for the filing of the scholarship application.
