Parent Expresses Frustration After Child Received Unsatisfactory Items During Christmas Party
A disappointed parent has expressed its disappointment after her child received an unsatisfactory exchange gift consisting of pancit canton, biscuits, and juice.
The Facebook page ‘Super Wo-Mom’ shared the sentiments of a mother who expressed her frustration on behalf of her child. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited reactions from the online community.
The exchange gift, valued at P150, left her child disheartened upon unwrapping the contents—five packs of instant noodles, a pack of crackers, and two sachets of powdered juice.
The mother, while acknowledging the effort put into the gift, couldn’t help but feel that it might have come from assistance programs, hastily wrapped without much consideration. In contrast, she had personally gone out of her way to find a toy worth P80 pesos and a shirt priced at 70 to ensure her child’s happiness during the gift exchange.
The woman made a plea to teachers, urging them to compile wish lists from children so that they could receive gifts that align with their desires or, at the very least, come close to what they want. She emphasized the importance of parents not being lazy and taking the time to consider the feelings of the children.
She challenged the concept that a budget of P150 should limit the quality of gifts, sharing her own experience of finding something affordable yet delightful for the child. The message encourages the public not to ruin the joyous moments of the children.
The incident encourages parents and teachers to put in a bit of effort to ensure that the children’s moments of joy are not filled with disappointments.

“Palabas ng inis para sa anak ko. Christmas party nila kanina.
