The party-list group Ako Bicol is now leading in the highly anticipated 2016 party-list election, based on the partial and unofficial results from the Comelec’s transparency server. Based upon the latest results from the Comelec’s transparency server a total of 95.85% precincts reported.
Party-list No. 16 Ako Bicol already received 1,634,813 votes or 5.2% of the total party-list votes. The group is followed by Party-list veteran Gabriela with 1,338,617 votes or 4.3%.
Ranking at the third spot is newcomer One Patriotic Coalition of Marginalized Nationals (1Pacman) with a total fo 1,286,718 votes or 4.1%. 1Pacman is one of the two new groups who are considered as newcomers in the party-list groups alongside Kabalikat ng Mamamayan (Kabayan).
During the 2010 Party-List Elections, Ako Bicol topped the race, while in 2010, Ako Bikcol ranked 7th, while Gabriela placed 9th overall.
In this year’s election ranking at the fourth spot is Act Teachers, followed by Senior Citizens at No. 5. Meanwhile, Kabayan ranks 6th, with 805,809 votes (2.6%).
The other members of the Top 10 are Agri-Agra na Reporma para sa Magsasaka ng Pilipinas Movement (Agri), Buhay, and Abono, along with returning group Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA). According to Comelec, a total of 59 seats for the partylist are up for grabs in the 17th Congress (2016-19).
