Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee takes the Lie Detector challenge of Bea Alonzo and admits to what forced her to come out.
Michelle Dee is the reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2023 and just like Catriona Gray, she holds the Miss World Philippines and Miss Universe Philippines titles.
And this year, she will be representing the country on the international stage.
Previously, photos of Michelle being boyish surfaced online which ignited speculations about her preference. And after these photos created a loud buzz online, she came out of the closet and revealed that she is a bi.
Michelle admitted that she is a bi. She remarked in her statement, “I’ve identified with that for as long as I can remember. I’m attracted to all forms of beauty, all shapes and sizes.”
And during the Legit Lie Detector Challenge with Bea Alonzo, the beauty queen admitted that she felt like she was forced to admit it.
But then she explained that she was forced because, in the first place, it was not a part of her plan. She expressed that she couldn’t see the need to define herself or justify her choices.
However, the real reason why she had to say yes was because, during that time, old photos of her had come out which were spread with malicious intent. She also considered the other people in the photos who were heavily bashed.
“The reason why I came out was because I really wanted to take control over the narrative. Take control of my story because if you do have to come out, that should come from you,” she said.
Michelle then added that it might be also an opportunity to inspire and empower others who are going through the same course of dilemma based on the video.
