Sharon Cuneta says she has the utmost respect for Maine Mendoza
Megastar Sharon Cuneta has spoken about her viral moment on TV5’s noontime show EAT because of what she said to Phenomenal Maine Mendoza.
Maine is one of the legit Dabarkads who gladly joined TVJ when they decided to leave TAPE Inc. During the pilot episode of the show on TV5 last July, Sharon joined the celebration.
A portion in which Sharon was talking to Maine went viral. The Megastar said to the Phenomenal Star that she now has a movie with the actor she considers her new son, Alden. She sounded like she was teasing the former love team partners as negative commenters expressed.
It is known to many that Maine Mendoza is engaged to Arjo Atayde. Following that “awkward” moment, based on the article in Inquirer, Sharon Cuneta clarified that she just wanted to mention that she and Alden Richards have an upcoming movie.
Then, the Megastar expressed that she respects the EAT host. “Siyempre, I have nothing but the utmost respect for Maine, and she’s marrying Arjo. And, you know, I’m friends with Sylvia,” Sharon said referring to Arjo’s mother Sylvia Sanchez.
The actress-host said that she is happy for Maine and Arjo and that she is proud of the couple.
Just recently, Alden Richards defended the Megastar against the basher. The actor said that Sharon has no intention to offend anyone. He also explained that the Megastar perhaps was so excited at that time.
Alden even stressed that the Megastar admitted that she is a big fan of AlDub, his love team with Maine during the height of the Kalyeserye.
