Advertisers Want TAPE Inc to Return Their Money for Commercials
Television and Production Exponents Inc (TAPE) is allegedly demanded by their advertisers to return their money.
According to an Abante story, TAPE Inc was struggling to keep up with sponsors after Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and other hosts of their noontime show Eat Bulaga opted to leave the show. Several advertisers have already sent claims to TAPE Inc., requesting that the business refund the money they had paid to air advertising for Eat Bulaga.
Joey previously reported that Puregold has already paid TAPE Inc. an undisclosed sum in advance to market their grocery chain for three years. However, TVJ’s decision to depart Eat Bulaga may have an impact on the company’s relationship with TAPE Inc.
It should be noted that 80% of marketers apparently expressed their support for TVJ and even offered to promote their products in the future Dabarkads show on TV5. If TAPE Inc. decides to return its money, the remaining 20% of advertisers are expected to follow suit.
Observers feared that TAPE Inc. would be forced to terminate their deal with GMA if they lost the majority of their advertisers, as they pay millions of pesos to the Kapuso Network each month. TAPE Inc has yet to respond to the aforementioned reports as of this writing.
Meanwhile, senior journalist Cristy Fermin claimed that TAPE Inc, which is controlled by the Jalosjos family, did not anticipate GMA Network agreeing to air It’s Showtime on one of their stations. Cristy stated that the choice by GMA to introduce their number one competitor into the same network would have an impact on the producer of Eat Bulaga.
