Joey de Leon had this meaningful statement in a recent live stream
Henyo Master Joey de Leon said that they don’t want “TAPE” as they prefer to air their noontime show live.
Joey’s noontime show with Tito and Vic Sotto, Eat Bulaga, has been under Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc for many years. The longest-running noontime show is now in its 44th year in the industry.
However, the anniversary celebration of the noontime show on GMA-7 did not happen as TVJ decided to leave TAPE Inc.
Following months of speculations about the real situation of the show and the people working in front of the camera and the production staff, the iconic trio announced that they are departing from TAPE Inc and the Dabarkads, as well as “95 percent” of the staff left with them.
In the meantime, the Dabarkads are doing the live stream on TVJ’s Facebook Page. In a recent live stream, Ryan Agoncillo was the one hosting it. The Dabarkads and the staff were happily greeting the viewers.
At one point, the husband of Judy Ann Santos reached where Joey de Leon was. The Henyo Master asked, “Live ba ito?” and Ryan answered, “Yes, sir.” Then, the veteran comedian who created the Eat Bulaga title said, “Ayaw namin ng TAPE, ha, gusto namin live!!!”
Everyone in that studio laughed after Joey said that. Ryan stressed that they are indeed “live.” Once again, the Henyo Master said, “Hindi ito tape, ha?! Okey, okey. Good!”
After that, Ryan looked at Tito Sotto’s direction and the latter showed his thumbs up. It can be heard that Vic Sotto said, “Ikaw lang ang makakaisip no’n!” Bossing was apparently referring to Joey de Leon.
