SSS MONTHLY PENSION – Here is a list of the cash benefits you will get from the Social Security System (SSS) for your retirement.

There are millions of Filipinos who are members of the Social Security System (SSS), a state-run social insurance agency in the country. Members who have updated accounts and have accumulated savings may avail the benefits offered by the social insurance institution.

One of these benefit offers is the Retirement Benefit. You may avail an SSS monthly pension. This is granted to members aged between 60 to 64 years old and have posted at least 120 monthly contributions prior to the semester of retirement.

With regards to the cash benefits during your retirement, here is a list of them including the SSS monthly pension:

  • the SSS monthly retirement pension
  • P1,000 additional benefit effective January 2017
  • 13th month pension payable every December
  • if the pensioner has dependent minor children, there will be Dependent’s Pension equivalent to 10% of the monthly pension of the member or P250, whichever is higher

According to the Social Security System (SSS), only five (5) minor children from the youngest will be eligible for the Dependent’s Pension. Substitution is not allowed under this.
