Xian Lim Reveals How He & Kim Chiu Agreed To Separate As A Love Team

In an interview, Xian Lim speaks about “KimXi” disbandment.

XIAN LIM – “KimXi” is one of the famous love teams of ABS-CBN and recently, Xian Lim shares how he and Kim Chiu talked about the disbandment.

Real-life sweethearts, Kim Chiu and Xian Lim were once in a love team but many years after being locked together, they decided to separate. They decided to finally take the leap in embracing changes such as working with other actors.

Although their love team disbanded, their real-life relationship went on and they have been together now for over ten years.

And to reach this length, the key for them is letting each other grow individually and grow together as a couple. For him, “panliligaw” also should not stop.

Talking about the time they conversed about the separation of their love team, he revealed that it was hard. It was accordingly hard leaving the love team. There was fear but they did talk about their decision to not work with each other as often.

“We came to terms with that maybe we had to pause and work with others to be able to grow individually. That was the hard for me because we got to work with each other and we would miss each other,” he shared.

But despite the fear, they both know that working separately is healthy for them.

And now, working with different leading ladies, he makes sure to know them through social media or through searching them online.

He said based on a report from ABS-CBN, “Working with different leading ladies, I think I do watch their work and that’s just having your respect for your co-actor. That also helps in building your rapport.”

Last year, KimXi reunited for a film eight years after their rest as a love team for the local adaptation of the Korean film “Always”.
