Video of Disappointed Miss Gay Contestant Confronting Judges Goes Viral
MISS GAY – The video of a disappointed Ms. Gay contestant confronting the judges went viral on social media.
The Philippines has seen a rise in the popularity of beauty pageants, second only to their favorite sports, basketball, and boxing. The infatuation with beauty pageants among Filipino fans from various walks of life is possibly unique among other nationalities.
Pinoys would always provide their full support to their particular bets, whether they were competing in large international pageants or the neighborhood “Mister and Miss Barangay” contests or “Miss Gay.”
The number of Filipinas competing in and winning international pageants has increased dramatically. In addition to providing entertainment, pageants have elevated Filipinos’ aspirations.
Just recently, a video of a candidate in a Ms. Gay pageant who was ranting against some of the judges has gone viral. The pageant was held someplace in Nueva Ecija.

In the footage, the contestant can be seen complaining and accusing one of the judges of treating her unfairly. While stating that she has nothing against the winner, she did point out that her response was incorrect.
The candidate continued by stating that it is not easy for everyone to enter such competitions because they must overcome many difficulties. She also said that one of the judges gave her a very low score in order to prevent her from winning the pageant.
“If that judge gave me a 90 or 91%, I should have won the title. Pero yung isang judge po na nagbigay sa akin ng 30%, siya po ang nagbagsak sa akin to be the second-runner up,” she claimed.
“I have nothing against Number 6, mahal ko siya kasi nasa likuran ko siya nagsi-share kami ng insights, but her answer is not actually right. Vices is bisyo, it’s not advices…”
“Kaya ang sa akin lang naman po, kung magpapa-competition kayo ng ganito, wag kayong nagbabagsak ng candidate ng 30%. Kasi I did my best,” she added.
Near the end of the TikTok video, the candidate can be seen accepting the 2nd runner-up crown, envelope, and sash.
