Marcelito Pomoy to Remove Kidney Stones with Shock Wave Treatment

The Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy announced that he will undergo shock wave treatment due to his kidney stones.

According to a Facebook post, musician Marcelito Pomoy is currently resting and recovering after being admitted to the hospital to have kidney stones removed. Marcelito stated that he underwent “shock wave lithotripsy.”

Shock wave lithotripsy is a medical technique that uses shock waves to crush kidney stones. On April 4, the artist posted a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed with two medical personnel completing the process.

Pomoy explained his sickness and what happened to him at the hospital in the following post. He also expressed gratitude to individuals who were concerned about him. The musician even wished that he would lose all of his assets and never have to go through shock wave treatment again.

 “Overwhelmed! I feel loved and blessed to have all of you who truly cares… thank you for all those concerned messages po.. I am fine po,” he captioned the post.

“Undergone shockwave treatment due to my kidney stones that are now bothering me… hoping that this be removed thru urinating so that I won’t have to do another procedure. Thank you so so much to all of you… thank you for the love… love you all!” he added.

Hundreds of followers commented to express their prayers. Marcelito is a vocalist who can sing in both masculine and female voices. He was awarded the grand winner of the second season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2011, and he also competed on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” in 2019, finishing as the third runner-up.
