Alexa Ilacad talked about dealing with bashing
Kapamilya actress Alexa Ilacad admitted that she used to be very indulgent in answering her bashers and that she was really affected by the hurtful words hurled at her.
Alexa started young in the Philippine entertainment industry. From being a teen star, she is now one of the most popular leading ladies of her generation. She also ventured into hosting and music.
One of the most recent projects she did was the iWant series Miss Behave, which showcased another side of her.
Alexa Ilacad said in her interview on the latest episode of the “Oh My Gan’ digital show, one of the accusations against her was that she was flirtatious and that she was flirting with various actors, or in short, she is allegedly “malandi,” based on the article in Abante.
In the past, she would answer the bashing, but this has changed now. “Nu’ng bata ako, pinapatulan ko lahat. Lahat ng mang-inis sa ‘kin, oo, patol ako,” the Kapamilya actress said.
Aside from this, Alexa also received other allegations, and before she used to be really affected. “I was affected because I knew na hindi ako ‘yung sinasabi mo, kaya sasagutin kita. I need to defend myself,” she said.
However, now that she has matured, she is more selective in what she would answer.
“Umabot na sa point na I don’t need to give you an answer. I don’t need to explain myself ever to anyone anymore. I don’t even need to defend myself anymore. Because luckily, people do it for me. My supporters do it for me, and I’m so grateful for that,” Alexa said.
The actress also shared that in the past, she was a people pleaser, but her years in showbiz she has learned that she can’t please everybody, and no matter what she does, some people will still have negative comments.
“Kahit perfect ka na, may masasabi pa rin talaga, eh. So, stop na lang. Hindi na para mag-please ng people,” Alexa Ilacad added.
