Bayani Agbayani confirmed that John Lloyd Cruz and Ellen Adarna have a new sitcom
A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz and Cebuana celebrity Ellen Adarna have a new sitcom that is set to air on GMA.
John Lloyd and Ellen worked together in the defunct Kapamilya sticom Home Sweetie Home where romance bloomed between them. Their relationship was blessed with a son, named Elias.
The former couple was able to iron out the conflict between them and was able to have a good co-parenting setup for their son.
Last month, Ellen Adarna even shared photos and videos taken from their recent vacation together with John Lloyd Cruz and his girlfriend, visual artist Isabel Santos.
In a recent interview, based on the article iin Pilipino Star Ngayon, Bayani Agbayani confirmed that Ellen and John Lloyd have a new sitcom. Aside from Bayani, comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto is also part of the project.
Before it will be aired on GMA, this will be released first on streaming platforms. “Kasi pala, patakaran ngayon pinapalabas muna sa… like sa Prime Video o sa Netflix,” Bayani shared. He also shared that aside from being the lead actor, John Lloyd is also a co-producer of this project. As of this writing, there is no final schedule yet for the airing.
Bayani also shared that since he wanted to chill with his schedule in showbiz, he opted to turn down Sigabo, the new series of Coco Martin, because, for now, he does not want a daily commitment.
“Ang dami ko nang naging daily. Kasi kahit birthday mo hindi ka makaka-attend. Ang hirap,” he said, but he decided to accept the new sitcom with John Lloyd and Ellen because it is just once a week.
Bayani revealed that he and John Lloyd had discussed the sitcom a long time ago. It was said that the A-list actor would not do this project, if Bayani and Rufa Mae won’t be in the cast.
It was easy for Bayani to say yes to this project. The comedian added that he will help with the sitcom’s script since he was also a writer before.
To recall, last April, speculations surfaced that John Lloyd Cruz and Ellen Adarna would have a project because they were seen dining together with GMA executives.
