Netizens did not like this comment of Kim Atienza
Kapuso veteran host Kim Atienza earned negative reactions from netizens because of his comment on a post about “bakla.”
Kuya Kim has been in the entertainment industry for quite a long time already. His career has went through a lot of ups and downs, and he also has his fair share of controversies over the years.
Previously, the online community has been praising the veteran TV host for his advocacy focusing on mental health after the death of his daughter, social media personality Emman Atienza, who was very vocal about mental health issues and her personal struggles back then.
Kim Atienza received positive comments for helping those who are going through struggles when it comes to their mental health. He even took an effort to become a certified mental health wellness facilitator.
However, just recently, Kuya Kim started receiving negative reactions online when he stressed that he wanted to remain apolitical amid the heated controversies in the government nowadays.
Another reason why he received negative reactions was his comment to a social media post, which was shared by a netizen on Reddit.
The post showed a man flexing his muscles, and it was captioned with, “Sino mag aakala na bakla to? Hahahaha.”
In the comment section, the veteran TV host wrote, “Parang halata naman.” This did not sit well with netizens on Reddit. Some netizens could not believed that he would comment like that, while some said that this goes to show Kuya Kim’s real color.
