“Noong pagkapanganak ko kasi nagkaroon ako ng feeling ko, depression yata ‘yong tawag doon, dahil feeling ko tumigil ‘yong mundo ko,” said Angelica.

She explained that she had been so used to the noise, energy, and constant activity of her life as an actress. For years, her schedule had been filled with work, projects, and public appearances. However, everything suddenly changed when she became a mother.

“Then, no’ng naging nanay ako, biglang nag-shutdown,” the actress said. “Parang ‘what’s next for me?’ Then none. Wala. Ito ka. Ito ka na.”

The abrupt shift left her feeling lost and uncertain about her identity beyond her career. Like many new mothers, Angelica found herself grappling with a completely new reality—one that required her full attention and devotion.

Despite the initial struggles, Angelica shared that she eventually learned to accept and embrace her new role. Over time, her perspective changed, and she began to see motherhood in a more positive light.

“No’ng finally na-accept ko siya, naintindihan ko na hindi pala siya tahimik, mas umingay siya in a good way,” she said.
