Mark Alcala has returned to Lucena after his reported vacation with Kathryn Bernardo
Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala was asked about his relationship with Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo.
Mark and Kathryn’s relationship has been a trending topic on social media these past few months. Even though there had been fans who expressed support for them, a lot of netizens also criticized them.
Kathryn is being bashed for her connection to the politician who is accused of corruption and not fulfilling his duties well.
Just recently, as Mark Alcala and Kathryn Bernardo‘s photos in Thailand circulated on social media, a resident of Lucena City shared a video calling out their mayor regarding a street without street lights.
The Mayor has been receiving negative reactions for allegedly neglecting his responsibilities as a government official, due to his supposed dates and vacations with the Kapamilya actress.
Amid the discussions about their relationship, both Mark and Kathryn have remained silent.
Based on the recent article in PEP, the Lucena City Mayor was asked about his and Kathryn’s relationship. However, the government official did not answer.
“Nakipag-ugnayan ang Cabinet Files kay Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala noong Martes, Abril 7, 2026, para sa kanyang panig tungkol sa relasyon nila ng aktres na si Kathryn Bernardo. Ipinadala ng Cabinet Files ang mensahe sa cellphone at Viber number ni Mark, pero hindi ito sumagot,” PEP writer Jojo Gabinete shared in his article.
He added that the Mayor’s silence is understandable because this might be his way to protect Kathryn from intrigues.
The writer also said that Mayor Mark Alcala was the guest of honor at the 29th founding anniversary of Inter-Global College last Monday, April 6. The following day, April 7, the officials of the Lucena Bankers’ Association had a courtesy call.
