Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla could not hide her excitement and pride as she shared her experience working on the highly anticipated ABS-CBN series Blood vs Duty. The actress expressed how meaningful it is for her to be part of a project that pushes for more intelligent storytelling in mainstream media.
The upcoming action-packed drama, set to premiere on April 6, features a powerhouse cast led by Gerald Anderson, Richard Gutierrez, and Barbie Imperial. With such a strong lineup, expectations are already high among viewers eagerly waiting for its release.

During the Kapamilya Chat x Blood vs Duty Grand Fans Day, Bela spoke highly of the show’s quality and depth. “Very intelligent ‘yung show. I want to push for intelligent content, especially on mainstream media. Right now, ‘yung three weeks na sinu-shoot namin na script, I could honestly say it’s some of the best scenes I’ve seen on TV,” she said.
Aside from the story itself, Bela also admitted her excitement about finally working with Gerald Anderson for the first time. “When I heard that Gerald was coming in, it was so exciting na kasi ‘di ko pa nakakatrabaho si Gerald. I wanna see kung ano ‘yung magiging dynamics namin sa set,” she shared. Her statement sparked curiosity among fans, as many are now looking forward to seeing their on-screen chemistry unfold.
In the series, Bela takes on the role of Lara, an intelligence officer. According to her, viewers will witness a completely different side of her acting. She also highlighted what makes the show unique compared to typical dramas. “Ang gusto ko kasi sa show na ’to, walang white character, walang black character, lahat gray,” she explained, emphasizing the complexity of the characters and storyline.

Blood vs Duty is produced by JRB Creative Production, the team behind successful shows like Darna, Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, Nag-aapoy na Damdamin, and Sins of the Father. The series is directed by FM Reyes, Bjoy Balagtas, and Rico Navarro, with action direction by Erwin Tagle.
Fans can start watching Blood vs Duty on iWant beginning April 4, before it officially airs on ABS-CBN platforms, including ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live starting April 6.
