Duterte Family Thanks Supporters during Launching of Rodrigo Duterte Website amid his ICC Detention

RODRIGO DUTERTE WEBSITE – The Duterte family launched the website for the former President and it is dedicated to his supporters.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has been under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands for a year now. He was arrested on March 11, 2025. The unexpected turn of events was led by the Philippine authorities who assisted the Interpol upon the former President’s arrival from Hong Kong.

On the first anniversary of Duterte’s arrest, Senator Imee Marcos called on the executive branch to fully disclose the details surrounding the former president’s arrest. She also left the senatorial slate of her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, amid her disappointment towards the government.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos and his administration have faced heavy criticism over Duterte’s arrest and transfer to ICC custody. Malacañang maintained that the government was simply allegedly pushing through with its obligations to the Interpol. The Chief Executive emphasized that the ICC case against the former President predated his presidency.

Amid the criticisms against Pres. Bongbong Marcos, Malacañang stressed that the Philippine government remains uninterested in rejoining the International Criminal Court. Currently, the former President is faced with murder as alleged crimes against humanity filed by the ICC prosecution.

Amid the rift between her and the President, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte accused Pres. Bongbong Marcos of allegedly committing an impeachable offense by allowing her father’s transfer to the ICC. Many Filipinos opposed the move of the government citing the former President as a citizen of the country who is now being tried before the foreign court.

Today marks the 81^st birthday of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. As the former President celebrates another added year but away from the Philippines, his family, and his supporters, the Duterte family launched the Rodrigo Duterte website.
