Shuvee Etrata recalled the negative comments she received
Kapuso actress Shuvee Etrata admitted that she was affected by the bashing that she received because of her past statements.
Shuvee has been around, but her popularity skyrocketed when she became part of the first season of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition. Through the reality show, more people have seen her personality, and she has gained more fans.
However, as her popularity soared, bashing also came her way, and this was mainly because of his show of support for the former President Rodrigo Duterte.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Shuvee Etrata admitted that the bashing she received affected her.
“Yung parang sabi ko na almost narating ko na yung point na, ‘Ay, baka hindi to para sa akin,‘” the Kapuso actress said, adding that she was already thinking of quitting showbiz.
She said that it felt like she wanted to find something that she had lost in herself because of this. Shuvee just wanted to go back to their island.
“Yung parang ganyan, nahirapan po talaga ako nung kasagsagan,” she admitted. However, the actress said that she was appreciative of Miss Joy Marcelo and Miss Annette Gozon-Valdes because they guided her amid what she was going through at that time.
“Yung parang noong time na ayaw ko na, sila yung nagbigay sa akin ng rason para mas lumaban pa. Kasi ang dami na balang napipirmahan na kontrata,” the actress said about the GMA-7 executives.
Shuvee Etrata also shared that her Sparkle GMA Artist Center was able to sign her with various brands. This meant that brands did not retract their support amid the controversy.
“Ma-breach of contract man ako. Baka mag-feel na feel na mag-e-end, pero ang daming kontratang napirmahan. Siyempre may commitment na tayo sa lahat ng brands natin,” the actress quipped.
With this, she said that she is not giving up and she will fight for it even more. She was also a bit surprised that brands still trusted her, and she was thankful for this.
Shuvee Etrata admitted that at that time, she also felt fear somehow. She was also aware that in the entertainment industry, seasons come and go, and she acknowledged that right now, her endorsement projects continue to increase in number.
