A 63-year-old man was arrested at NAIA after being reported for watching an adult video during a flight from Los Angeles to Manila.

Fellow passengers said they were uncomfortable with the foreigner’s behavior and filed complaints with the flight crew and authorities.

Passengers recalled that the man was viewing an X-rated video on his mobile phone while seated in the cabin. One passenger tried to move to another seat but found no available space, while another reported that minor passengers nearby could also see the content.

Flight attendants quickly responded and asked the man to stop. He apologized to the nearby passengers, claiming that he had a personal right to watch the content on his device. Despite his explanation, passengers insisted on filing a formal complaint, citing public indecency and disruption.

Upon arrival in Manila, authorities from the Aviation Security Group arrested the man. He is currently under custody at NAIA Police Station 1 while inquest proceedings are ongoing. The charge filed against him is unjust vexation, based on the complaints of fellow passengers who felt offended and disturbed by his actions.

The incident reminds travelers to be mindful of their behavior in public spaces, especially in confined areas like airplanes were other passengers, including minors, may be affected. Authorities and airline staff continue to monitor such situations to maintain safety and respect for all passengers during flights.
