Megan Young shared her thoughts on this common notion on the pageant
Miss World 2013 and Kapuso actress Megan Young contradicted the popular pageant advice “Know when to peak.”
Megan was the first Filipina who was crowned Miss World. With this, she brought a milestone in the history of pageantry in the country. Until now, many pageant fans still consider Megan as one of the most successful queens.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Abante Entertainment, Megan shared her thoughts on the “Know when to peak” pageant tip.

It means that beauty pageant candidates are not yet doing their best during the pre-final activities and preliminary rounds, and would just give their best performance in the final round of the competition.
“I hate the tip ‘know when to peak’,” Megan Young admitted. She explained, “Sorry, this is like an unpopular opinion. Because you should be at the top of your game all the time.”
Megan mentioned Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, and herself.
“I was at the top of my game all the time. Catriona was on top of her game all the time. Pia was the same. And I don’t think you should lie low and then peak. I think you should show them who you are from day one,” the Kapuso star said.

For her, the candidate should give their best from the very start of the competition, and she should show that she is a worthy opponent and worthy of the crown.
“Yeah, give it your all. You better wake up at the beginning of the day and be 100% ready. You show them, ‘Hey, I’m your winner,” Megan Young stressed.
Currently, Megan is enjoying her new role as a mom to her first child with her husband, Kapuso actor Mikael Daez.
