This is why Barbie Forteza has some regrets about this project.
Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza admits that she has some regrets about doing “Kara Mia,” but reflected on the good things it provided her.
‘Kara Mia’ is one of the most viral and unique projects of Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza. In this series, she played as one of the other half of the twin sisters who have different faces but share the same bodies. For Forteza, this is also a memorable project for her.
She opened up about doing “Kara Mia” with Cherry Pie Picache and Jodi Sta. Maria on Ang Walang Kwentang Podcast’s YouTube channel. They were asked about projects “that didn’t work in their favor” but taught them something important in their careers.
Forteza recalled the unique character she had created with Mika Dela Cruz, and that one scene they did when they had to do a fight scene on the footbridge. She admitted that she has regrets about doing the project, but on the positive side, it paid her bills. Despite the regrets, she was, nonetheless, 100% committed.
“So may eksena po kami na nasa footbridge kami, nag-aaway kami eh iisa lang ang katawan so ako ‘yung katawan, atras-abante akong ganyan,” she said and added, “So to answer your question, sa bata kong ‘to, marami akong pinagsisihan. But again, it paid the bills. Tsaka 100% committed ako.”
This project also made her realize how important it is to be professional in her job and truly internalize her character, despite how funny it may seem to some. The scenes were unusual and awkward sometimes, but she made sure to give her best as part of her commitment to the project. There were challenges, but she is aware that it was all part of the craft.
