Atty. Ferdie Topacio reacted to what Jasmine Curtis-Smith said
Lawyer and film producer Atty. Ferdie Topacio attacked actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith for defending her sister, actress-host Anne Curtis, against the “malicious” remark made by Quezon City Congressman Bong Suntay.
To recall, Suntay used Anne in his analogy, stressing that thinking or imagining someone or something would not be a crime as long as there was no action that was done. He made this statement in connection with the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
However, Suntay stressed that he is not a DDS or a diehard Duterte supporter, and even stressed that he opposed former President Rodrigo Duterte’s anti-terrorism bill.
With what Cong. Bong Suntay said against Anne Curtis, many showbiz personalities criticized him. One of them was Anne’s younger sister Jasmine Curtis-Smith. The actress slammed the congressman for his “malicious” remark.
Later on, Suntay apologized but reiterated that there was no malice in what he said. With this, Jasmine said that the congressman should stop talking.
In a recent episode of Atty. Ferdie Topacio’s radio show, Yes Yes Yo Topacio, on DWIZ, he shared his thoughts on the recent issue involving Cong. Bong Suntay.
Topacio defended Suntay, saying that no matter how bad a person thinks, there is nothing wrong with it. Then, he mentioned Jasmine for defending Anne.
Then, he said, as a celebrity, Jasmine would post her photos wearing revealing and skimpy clothes on social media. “Ikaw, Jasmine, bakit ka nagpo-post ng mga bikini pictures mo?” he asked.
Then, he said, “Hindi ba para ikaw ay pagnasahan? Para ikaw ay sumikat. Huwag mong sabihin art ‘yon.” The lawyer also said they are not fools to believe Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
