PSA Offers Free Birth & Marriage Certificates for Women This March
PSA – Good news for women this March, as the Philippine Statistics Authority announced that birth and marriage certificates will be issued for free in selected locations.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has announced a special initiative offering free birth certificates and marriage certificates to women as part of the celebration of the National Women’s Month 2026. The program aims to help women access important civil registry documents without cost during the month-long observance in March.
In a Facebook post shared on Wednesday, March 4, the PSA provided details about the initiative and encouraged eligible women to take advantage of the free service. According to the agency, the “free issuance” of birth and marriage certificates will be available every Monday throughout the entire month of March.

Women who wish to participate in the program only need to present one valid identification card when applying for the documents. The PSA noted that the initiative is part of its continuing efforts to make civil registry services more accessible while also supporting activities that highlight the importance of women in society.
However, the PSA clarified that the free issuance of birth and marriage certificates will only be available at selected Civil Registry System (CRS) outlets located in Metro Manila. Applicants are advised to visit the PSA’s official pages or contact their nearest CRS outlet to check which branches are participating in the program.
Aside from the free document issuance, the PSA also announced another activity lined up for the celebration. The agency will conduct a “Civil Registration and National ID Caravan” in Barangay Kaybanban in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, on March 27.

The caravan aims to bring civil registration services and National ID registration closer to communities, particularly those with limited access to government services. Residents in the area will have the opportunity to process important documents and receive assistance related to civil registration and identification.
The PSA said initiatives like these are meant to support women and communities by ensuring easier access to essential records that are often required for employment, education, and government transactions. By offering these services for free during Women’s Month, the agency hopes to empower more women by helping them secure their vital documents.
