Ogie Diaz Waits For Sara Duterte To Call Out Bong Suntay Over Anne Curtis Controversy

Ogie Diaz Challenges Sara Duterte to Address Bong Suntay’s Remarks About Anne Curtis

BONG SUNTAY – The controversy involving Bong Suntay and actress-host Anne Curtis continues to spark debate online, with Ogie Diaz now openly wondering if Sara Duterte will step in.

Talent manager and content creator Ogie Diaz is among those closely watching whether Sara Duterte will call out 4th District Quezon City Rep. Bong Suntay following his controversial remarks that dragged actress-TV host Anne Curtis into a political analogy.

The public is now waiting to see if Vice President Sara will reprimand Suntay. This came after the lawmaker publicly declared his support for her potential presidential bid in the 2028 elections.

Many believe the congressman should be taught a lesson over what they described as disrespectful remarks toward Anne Curtis. Numerous netizens have also commented that Congress should impose sanctions on Suntay after he mentioned the actress during a hearing on the impeachment complaint filed against VP Sara.

Some have even gone as far as calling on Suntay to resign from his post, arguing that he is unfit to serve as a public servant.

Ogie Diaz did not hold back in expressing his anticipation over how the Vice President would respond.

“Let’s see kung kakastiguhin din ni VP Sara ang supporter niyang si Cong. Bong Suntay,” Mama Ogs wrote on his Facebook page last Wednesday, March 4.

He added another pointed remark: “Babae din ang VP. Ayaw niyang binabastos o ‘ini-imagine ng kahalayan’ ang mga kababaihan.”

Public criticism against Rep. Suntay continues to intensify due to his use of Anne’s name to illustrate his analogy regarding VP Sara’s alleged participation in rallies against the Marcos administration and her statement that she was a “designated survivor.”

“Pero siyempre hanggang imagination lang ’yon,” the lawmaker said, drawing mixed reactions.

He later apologized to everyone who was offended, including Anne, but maintained his position.

“I stand by my statement. That analogy was used to prove that statements are oftentimes taken out of context. Nagsisisi ako na may nasaktang mga kababaihan because that was never the intention ng aking statement,” Suntay stated.
