What Kitty Duterte Noticed About Digong During Latest ICC Visit
KITTY DUTERTE – An emotional Kitty Duterte shared what she felt when she saw her father again inside the ICC detention facility in The Hague.
Veronica “Kitty” Duterte, the youngest daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, recently opened up about her latest visit to her father in The Hague, Netherlands.
The former chief executive remains detained at the facility of the International Criminal Court (ICC) over alleged “crimes against humanity.” Amid the ongoing legal proceedings, Kitty shared personal details about seeing her father again and how emotional the experience has been for her.
In an interview conducted in The Hague on March 2 by known DDS vlogger Alvin Sarzate, also known as “Alvin & Tourism,” Kitty admitted that visiting her father in detention is never easy, especially the first time.
“Like I always say, the first visit was always the hardest.
“I usually wait in the corridor mismo, so I wait for him there. Noong narinig ko agad ‘yong pagbukas ng pinto tumakbo ako,” she shared.
According to Kitty, one of the first things she noticed during her recent visit was the dryness of her father’s skin and lips. Concerned about his condition, she immediately reminded him to stay hydrated.
“He was okay but at first I noticed that he had dryer lips and skin than usual. That’s why I imposed a rule today, kada iinom siya ng coke dapat may few sips of water.
“And then eventually, after he finished about three cups of water, nag-okay naman,” she said.
Aside from his dry skin and lips, Kitty also became worried after seeing that the former president’s eyes looked slightly red.
“Natakot kasi ako kasi medyo mapula ‘yong mata niya. So, sabi ko, baka dry. He just need hydration.”
Recently, the ICC conducted a five-day confirmation of charges hearing regarding the cases filed against Duterte. The proceedings are considered a crucial step in determining whether the charges will move forward to trial.
According to the ICC, the court has 60 days to formally announce its decision following the series of hearings for the confirmation of charges.
Despite the legal uncertainties surrounding her father, Kitty continues to show concern for his well-being, focusing on his health and condition during each visit in The Hague.
