DILG Chief Remulla Unaware of Bulacan Vice Mayors’ Dubai Trip

Bulacan Vice Mayors allegedly did not inform the DILG Chief regarding their trip abroad

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla reportedly had no official knowledge of the recent travel of Bulacan vice mayors to Dubai.

On Sunday, the conflict between the United States of America and Iran created a global blast. Flights were cancelled because of airstrikes. Even Filipina-Australian celebrity Anne Curtis shared that her flight from Milan to Dubai was redirected because of the conflict in the Middle East.

Before the conflict was ignited, based on the report in Abante, a source revealed that Vice Mayors from the province of Bulacan travelled to Dubai without the knowledge of DILG and the department chief, Sec. Jonvic Remulla.

Local officials from Bulacan who allegedly travelled to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, are reportedly stranded due to the outbreak of war in the Middle East.

A reliable source said that the vice mayors in the province are reportedly stranded after fleeing Dubai due to airstrikes by the United States and Israel against Iran.

According to the source, the vice mayors’ trip to Dubai was not relayed to the office of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla.

They were reportedly accompanied by department heads, a mayor and the mother, and there was a vice mayor who also travelled with a mother.

However, the source did not mention the names of the aforementioned officials. There is no information yet whether Remulla’s office has learned of this now that the vice mayors are stranded in Dubai along with the department heads from their towns.

Meanwhile, DILG Chief Remulla was entangled in a recent controversy when it was alleged that he punched and choked Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando. This was because of an alleged road incident, in which Fernando’s bodyguards blocked the car of the presidential son, Vinni Marcos, just because he overtook the governor’s convoy.
