Claudine Barretto Gets Candid About Anorexia Nervosa & Her Healing Journey
CLAUDINE BARRETTO – As anticipation grows for the Home Along Da Riles reunion, Claudine Barretto revealed she is currently battling anorexia nervosa once again.
As excitement builds for the long-awaited reunion project of the iconic ABS-CBN ’90s sitcom Home Along Da Riles, Claudine Barretto stirred emotions online with a heartfelt message dedicated to her late onscreen father, Dolphy. Claudine, who portrayed Bing Kosme, the eldest daughter of Kevin Kosme in the beloved series, took to Instagram on February 23 to share personal updates, including her renewed struggle with anorexia nervosa.
Now 46, Claudine addressed her post to Dolphy, fondly calling him “Tatay,” and reflected on the reunion film while opening up about her health. She shared glimpses of her relationship with former co-stars and expressed pride in how everyone has grown through the years.

She wrote,
“Dear Tatay,

In a recent interview with MJ Marfori, Claudine admitted that although she previously recovered from anorexia nervosa, she experienced a relapse that caused her weight to drop to 82 pounds. She revealed that the emotional toll following the passing of her brother Mito Barretto in September 2025, along with other personal challenges, triggered her condition. Because of this setback, she had to postpone a major fan gathering last December.

Before concluding her emotional tribute, Claudine mentioned her departed loved ones, including her parents, director Wenn Deramas, and former love team partner Rico Yan. She also expressed pride in Dolphy’s grandson, Boy2 Quizon, who is reportedly directing the reunion film.
“kamusta si Dad & Mom dyan, Magkakasama na po ba kayo nina Rico, Direk Wenn at Nay Jane at Aida? ‘Tay tulungan nyo ko sa mga desisyon ko sa buhay.🙏 hirap nako Tay.sakit ng puso ko.
