Robin Padilla Reacts To “Tuta ni Duterte” Tag

Robin Padilla remains supportive of FPRRD

Senator Robin Padilla reacted to being called “tuta” of former President Rodrigo Duterte (FPRRD).

Padilla has been known as an ally of FPRRD even before he entered the political arena. In 2022, the Bad Boy of Philippine cinema ran for senator with the support of Duterte and his other allies.

Padilla even became the number one senator at that time. Then and now, the actor-politician remained loyal to Duterte, even when he was brought to The Hague, after the International Criminal Court (ICC) ordered his arrest, in line with the alleged extra-judicial killings due to his war on drugs program.

With Sen. Robin Padilla’s continued support for FPRRD and even for her daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, critics would call him “Tuta” and “sunud-sunuran.”

Based on the article in Bandera, the actor-politician answered this tag against him through his Facebook Live.

The senator also said that the question is to whom you are loyal because, for him, if people are loyal to a leader who has done nothing, then this would be the problem.

Meanwhile, Robin Padilla boasted the approval rating of the former President, which has reached the 90 percent mark, and included that Duterte was well-known even in other countries, such as America, Russia, and China.

Then, he said that if he were asked where his loyalty is, he stressed that he will not compromise the welfare of the Filipino people.

Magkaiba po ‘yon…” he said, adding that there is nothing wrong with his loyalty to the former president, but his loyalty is to Filipinos.
