Miss Philippines Earth 2013 runner-up Lullete Jane Ramilo was shot dead.

Miss Philippines Earth 2013 runner-up Lullete Jane Ramilo died after being shot in Isabela on Friday, February 13.

A 32-year-old former Miss Philippines Earth 2013 runner-up named Lullete Jane Ramilo was shot dead inside her car in front of her home in Barangay Cabaritan in Isabela. According to the police report, the shooting occurred at around 6:45 PM.

She sustained gunshot wounds to the face and side of the body. She died on the spot and was later declared dead at Manuel Roxas District Hospital in Roxas town.

Police said Ramilo-De Guzman was inside the vehicle with her children when her father stepped out of their Toyota Fortuner to open the gate of their home. A gunman riding a motorcycle without a license plate reportedly entered the area and opened fire on her multiple times.

The children were not harmed, but the incident left them traumatized. After firing at Ramilo, the suspects fled, taking the eastward direction along the national road in the town’s District 3.

Meanwhile, she placed as a runner-up in the 2013 Miss Philippines–Earth pageant and also earned special awards, including Miss Global International and Miss Genuine Person. She has a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree and earned it from the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna-Isabela campus.

According to Rogelio Natividad, head of the San Manuel police, investigators are examining possible personal or work-related reasons behind the incident, though they have yet to name any suspects.

“We have no clear leads yet as to the motive or the suspects. We are processing the evidence and conducting follow-ups,” Natividad said in an interview over the phone on Saturday. He added that they are still waiting for the crime laboratory’s report to determine what firearm was used.
