What Really Happened Between Angeline Quinto & Yeng Constantino Before Her Wedding
ANGELINE QUINTO – Kapamilya singer and actress Angeline Quinto shared a heartfelt story about feeling upset with Yeng Constantino when her friend couldn’t perform at her wedding.
Angeline Quinto opened up about a time she felt upset with fellow singer Yeng Constantino after Yeng could not attend her wedding. In a recent interview with comedian Chad Kinis, Angeline recalled that Yeng was initially supposed to sing during her bridal march but was unable to because of prior commitments.
Angeline married Nonrev Daquina in 2024 at the historic Quiapo Church.
“Oo nag tampo ako kay Yeng,” Angeline admitted.
She clarified that the matter has since been resolved, and their friendship remains intact. She also explained the circumstances that led to her disappointment.
“Siya kasi dapat kakanta sa bridal march ko. Siya agad yung naisip ko nun kasi gusto ko yung song na ‘Ikaw.’ So ngayon, nung nag yes si Yeng sa akin syempre ‘Yeng, thank you’ sinabi ko yung date. Actually siya yung unang unang nakaalam na ikakasal kami ni Nonrev sa mga kaibigan ko–– Kahit si ate Vice [Ganda], Erik [Santos] di ko pa sinabihan,” she said.
Angeline wanted Yeng to perform the song “Ikaw,” which is why she shared the wedding date with her first. The situation became disappointing when Yeng later informed her that she had another engagement on the same day.
“Tapos yun, after mga isang buwan, kung kailan malapit na yung kasal, doon siya nag sabi sa akin na hindi siya pwede kasi meron siyang commitment. So na feel bad lang ako,” Angeline recalled.
She reflected that the stress of the wedding planning may have intensified her feelings at the time.
“Parang siguro nag sama-sama lang yung pressure kasi ilang linggo nalang malapit na tapos biglang wala ng kakanta,” she added.
Despite the setback, Angeline collaborated with Jonathan Manalo to create an original song for the ceremony, making the moment even more personal.
“Kaya kami nakagawa ni sir Jonathan ng original song para sa wedding namin ni Nonrev. Kami nag sulat nun. Alam naman ni Yenggay yun kasi parang talaga na ano ako… Oo. Mas personal, mas kami ni sir Jonathan yung sumulat,” she shared.
The experience ultimately strengthened their friendship, which is evident from their interactions on social media.
