Coleen Garcia fired back at this netizen’s comment about her son
Actress Coleen Garcia received support from netizens after she slammed a netizen who commented about the gender preference of her son, Amari.
Coleen and her husband, singer-host Billy Crawford, are blessed with a handsome boy. The couple welcomed their first child in 2020. Amid the pandemic, Coleen welcomed Amari via water birth.
Coleen has been sharing photos and videos of their adorable son on her social media pages. Last year, the Crawford family welcomed a new member after the actress gave birth to her second son, Austin.

Just recently, Coleen Garcia’s Facebook page dedicated to Amari’s adventures, she shared a photo of Amari holding a flower. In the caption of her post, she stressed people’s assumptions about a child’s gender because of their interests.
“I don’t understand why some people assume a child’s gender identity or sexuality just because of their interests. Liking flowers doesn’t define who a child is. Amari has loved flowers and plants since he was little, and that’s simply part of who he is, curious, gentle, and appreciative of nature,” Coleen said.
The actress added that she should be mindful of labeling children. She stressed that kids should be “free to enjoy gentle things, creative things, and beautiful things, like flowers, without being boxed into assumptions.”
In the comment section of her post, Coleen shared a screenshot of a netizen’s comment stating what her child’s behavior is. The netizen pointed out that 95 percent of boy children who like flowers and gentle things will eventually become gay when they grow up. “And Amari has the highest probability of becoming one,” the netizen said, adding that this is a reality, whether Coleen will accept it or not.
In her reply to the netizen, Coleen Garcia said that Amari likes flowers, and this does not mean anything, but the fact that he likes flowers. For the actress, this should be celebrated and not labeled.
“Kids deserve the freedom to be themselves, gently, fully, and without assumptions,” she stressed. Other netizens who commented on this post showed support for the actress as they shared their own experiences with their children.
