Male Passenger Expresses Gratitude to UV Express Driver After Learning Robbers Were Onboard
A male passenger expressed his gratitude to a UV Express driver for his actions after finding out that they were traveling with suspected robbers.
Recently, Janiropanget, a Threads user, shared his experience on a UV Express ride where he claimed there were suspected robbers among the passengers. The post quickly went viral and drew reactions from the online community.
The passenger shared that he was coming from Manila after having dinner with friends and decided to take a UV Express ride home late at night. At first, there were five passengers in the vehicle. Along the way, two of them got off, leaving only three passengers seated at the back.
He noticed that the driver kept looking at him through the mirror and seemed to be giving signals. At first, he felt confused and unsure about what was happening. After a few moments, the driver called him and politely asked him to move to the front seat, saying he needed a small favor.
The driver quietly explained the real reason. The driver recognized the two remaining passengers at the back and said they were suspected holdapers. According to him, he had encountered them before during a previous incident involving a robbery.
To avoid trouble, the driver decided to drop the passenger off at a busy and safe area before heading toward a police station.
The passenger felt immediate relief and gratitude after hearing the explanation. He realized that the driver’s quick thinking may have saved him from being robbed.
While he joked that he only had a small amount of money with him, the fear of what could have happened was very real.
