Angel Locsin’s Husband Neil Arce Gets Emotional Over Son Joaquin on National TV
NEIL ARCE – Viewers were left emotional after Neil Arce made a surprise appearance inside the PBB house to see his son Joaquin.
Neil Arce made a heartfelt appearance on “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” as he surprised his son, Joaquin, during the soft opening of PBB Bistro. The unexpected visit became one of the most touching highlights of the episode, especially as Arce opened up about his journey as a father inside the confession room.
As a special guest for the restaurant challenge, Arce had the chance not only to support the housemates but also to personally see how Joaquin has been doing inside the famous house. His presence clearly meant a lot, particularly when he shared sincere words about his son with Big Brother.
“Sobrang bait po na bata niyan; hindi kami binigyan ng problema. Laging maganda ‘yung grades sa school. Na-bless ako ni Lord ng isang mabuting anak. … Sa akin din po, nahirapan ako mag-connect. Maraming times na, kahit pilitin kong mag-connect sa kanya, medyo mahirap. Parang may distansya talaga; parang may wall,” Arce told Big Brother or Kuya.
The film producer candidly admitted that building a deeper bond with Joaquin was not always easy. Despite having a good son who excelled in school and never caused trouble, Arce shared that there were moments when he felt a certain emotional distance between them.
However, things eventually changed.
“Pero for the past 2–3 years, bigla na lang sabi ni Lord, magko-connect kayo. So, for the past 2–3 years, halos five times a week kaming magkasama. Hindi ko in-expect na ganun pala ‘yung pakiramdam na ‘yun. Na-feel ko ‘yung tunay na connection. At na-feel ko ‘yung pagiging tunay na ama,” he added.
His words reflected a father grateful for a renewed and strengthened relationship with his child. When asked by Kuya about his dream for Joaquin, Arce shared a simple yet meaningful wish: “Gusto ko na matuto siyang maging kontento at happy kung ano ang mayroon siya.”
Arce was joined by Jem Jornales, mother of housemate Heath, as special guests and first customers of PBB Bistro, which ran from January 28 to January 30. Chef Jorge Mendez also helped guide the housemates in completing their 14th weekly task.
