Showbiz personality and Senator Robin Padilla voluntarily submitted to random drug testing.
Padilla frequently shares updates on his social media posts regarding his programs and projects as a Senator, his views and opinions about certain social and political issues, as well as random posts about a public servant and a showbiz personality.
In one of his recent Facebook posts, the actor-turned-politician shared a video showing that he submitted to a random drug test.
Sen. Robin Padilla said that he just saw an area where there were people. He asked what was going on, and he was told that it was for the random drug testing. The lawmaker did not hesitate, and he indeed went through the process.
“Ah ganun ba? I-drug test niyo na ako, ngayon na,” he said. The Senator jokingly said that the staff member could even watch him inside the comfort room to make sure that the sample was really from him. The result showed that Senator Robin Padilla tested negative for illegal substances.
“Mahalaga ang pagiging bukas at tapat sa taumbayan.Ako po ay mapabilang sa random drug test, kusang-loob po akong sumailalim dito bilang patunay ng aking integridad at paninindigan sa pagsusulong ng medical cannabis,” he wrote in the caption of his post.
In the comment section of his post, the Senator reiterated that it was random, which meant it was not scheduled, and there was no time schedule. He also mentioned that he already proposed random drug testing, but he was ignored.
Then, the actor-turned-politician said that he was the only senator who did that, but still, there were side comments.
“Hindi ako ang nagpatawag ng drug test para gawin sa araw at oras na gusto ko, İntindihin Mo ang pagkakaiba ng random at voluntary para hindi Ka obvious na troll hahahahhahha. Hindi ito paandar. Ito ay para sa isinusulong ko na medical cann@bis,” Sen. Robin Padilla stressed.
