Lian Paz talked about what took place between her and Paolo Contis
Former EB Babes member Lian Paz admitted that the reconciliation between her and her ex-husband, actor Paolo Contis, was not an easy process.
Lian and Paolo’s breakup was controversial. For many years, there was no communication between them, even though they had two daughters, Xalene and Xonia.
However, last year, the much-talked-about reconciliation between them happened. Lian’s now-husband, John Cabahug, played a big role, and Paolo could not be more thankful.

The actor started re-establishing his relationship with his daughters and created a unique bond with John and Lian. In a previous interview, he even called them his family in Cebu.
Based on the article in Bandera, Lian Paz shared that it had been quite a long time since Paolo Contis reached out to her and John Cabahug.
The former dancer also admitted that at first, she was hesitant about having communications against with her former husband.
Paolo first reached out during the pandemic. “Actually, matagal ‘yung process. Nag-reach out siya, matagal na. So quiet lang naman talaga kami kasi ‘yun na nga, I’m out of the limelight already and hinintay ko rin naman na mag-heal ako,” Lian shared in her Fast Talk with Boy Abunda interview.
However, she saw the sincerity in Paolo, and he would send a message to John. Since the actor is still active in showbiz, Lian said that they had apprehensions because they had been keeping the kids from the media.
“Mahirap of course magtiwala at first. But then, I’ve seen his sincerity, and I’ve seen myself also, Tito Boy, na also, may mga pagkukulang din ako. So, it’s really by the grace of God,” Lian shared.

She and John just wanted to protect Xonia and Xalene. The couple did not want the kids to be shocked by the situation because they already grown up with John.
For her, everything fell into place at the right time. The first time John showed her the message from Paolo, Lian said that she was not yet ready because she wanted to see the actor’s effort. They let the kids know about this.
“So, ipinakita ko sa kanila na, ‘Girls, hindi perpekto ang papa niyo. Gano’n din si mama. But we want this family to be okay. I think everybody deserves a chance.’ And we prayed about this. And we know that everyone is accountable to the Lord,” Lian Paz shared.
