The love story of actors Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas started on the set of the TV soap opera Mara Clara in 1992. They were so young that many doubted they would last, but decades after, they proved their detractors wrong.
Their love for each other remains strong as they celebrate their 22nd year as husband and wife and 33rd year of togetherness.
In an Instagram post, the seasoned actress shared photos of her sweet moments with her spouse as well as a snap of their family of six. With the series of photos, the actress expressed her love and appreciation to her husband on their special day.
“Happy anniversary bebe @christopherroxas love. Every morning when we pray together before going to work, we never fail to express how grateful we are to God for having each other together with our greatest blessings, our children,” she wrote.
She added that, being with him all these years, she felt not only love but also contentment. The actress added, “I will always choose YOU.”
To recall, they tied the knot in 2004. They have four children together: Gian Christopher, Gianna Aquisha, Grant Carlin, and Gavin-Cale. They first met when they were teenagers in the soap opera ‘Mara Clara.’
What began as a friendship eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship while they were still teenagers. After five months of courtship, Christopher won Gladys’ heart and became her first and last boyfriend.
Judy Ann Santos also played a key role in their story, as Gladys shared that their co-star helped bring them closer during their early days.
