Stray Dog Touches Many Hearts for ‘Begging’ at Eatery
A friendly stray dog went viral online after politely asking for food at a small eatery in Barangay San Isidro, General Santos City.
A netizen named Myoko Ocana shared a heartwarming video of a dog approaching a customer and raising its paws as if politely requesting a meal.
The dog, described as a native aspin and a mother, seems to be a regular visitor at the eatery. Observers noticed that it patiently waits while its food is prepared, behaving calmly and showing excitement once it receives a meal.

Its gentle manners and puppy dog eyes quickly convinced other customers to share some of their food.
According to Myoko, the dog appears to have lost most of its teeth, which makes it seem older, but it still manages to charm everyone it meets. While Myoko wanted to adopt the dog, she already has sixteen pets and could not take another. She hopes someone will feed the dog regularly.
The dog has been seen roaming the streets near the eatery and even approaching homes with feeding stations. It stands out among other street dogs in the area because of its unique behavior, as it is the only one that directly approaches customers for food.

Eatery staff members said the dog never causes trouble. While they sometimes shoo it away, it always returns, and they occasionally feed it out of kindness. The dog’s polite and patient demeanor has made it a local favorite.

The City Veterinary Office reminded the public to be careful when feeding stray dogs. Veterinarians advised that food should be placed on the ground or in a bowl rather than being handed directly to the dog to avoid accidental bites.
