Willie Revillame was asked about the conflict between the President and the Vice President
Veteran TV host Willie Revillame shared that he hopes for the reconciliation between President Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte.
Willie is one of the showbiz personalities who is somehow connected to politics. Back in 2021, he shared that former President Rodrigo Duterte urged him to run for senator in the 2022 elections. He has been known as a supporter of FPRRD and VP Sara Duterte.
However, back then, the veteran host chose not to enter the political arena, but this changed in 2025. He ran for Senator, but he did not win, which he called his win after all.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Willie Revillame said that it is hard for the country when two leaders are fighting.
“Sana maayos na. Alam mo ‘pag ang dalawang leaders mo ‘pag hindi magkasundo, wasak na e. Watak na watak na ‘yung bansa,” the Wilyonaryo host said.
He pointed out that if the President and Vice President are not fighting, they can do a lot of things for the Filipino people. The TV host added that if Marcos and Duterte fixed things up, this would be very beneficial for the country.
“Sana dumating ‘yung time na lumambot ang kanilang kalooban, mawala ‘yung pride, mawala ‘yung ego, at mawala ‘yung galit,” the TV host said.
Willie Revillame said that if one has a conflict with someone, it would be difficult to sleep. He added that it has become a personal thing between the two government officials. With this, the veteran host said that he hoped the country’s welfare would not be compromised because of politics.
Meanwhile, Willie is set to return to television with his new show Wilyonaryo. A press conference was held just recently, and he answered questions from reporters, such as his past relationship with host-actress Sugar Mercado.
